Yeilds Highest In A Month

Treasury prices are lower this morning as yesterday’s rally on Wall Street puts continued pressure on the flight to quality bid. Yields are at their highest levels in almost a month as investors continue to shift money back into equities. Markets will likely remain fixated on Europe as today’s economic calendar is blank. The economic calendar for the remainder of this holiday shortened trading week is relatively light with tomorrow’s FOMC meeting minutes and Friday’s retail sales report highlighting the docket. Currently, the 10yr yield is at 2.148% (2.105% Friday) and the 2-10 yield spread is at 184bps, steeper by 2 bps since Friday morning.
